AS 2.5 Installed 36 hrs ago...

I have a problem. I just got my AS 2.5 Kit installed less than 36 hrs ago and now my front passenger axle boot is busted. Is this from the kit or did the person doing the install screw something up. Only reason i noticed was i took it in for its 30K service and they told me. And now i have grease over everything. What should i do, other than get it fixed of course, but is it my fault or the installers? Any opinions would be helpful.

Sounds like the installer may have torn it during the install. But it will be hard to prove. Ide take it back and tell them about it and see what they say.

90 for the boot from ford and for them to put it in like 250. i ripped a boot once, (my own fault) and they wanted $90 for the parts and almost $300 for labor but not every dealer is the same.

I would try and talk to the people who installed it... thousands of people run level kits for several months w/o even noticing wear on components.... That definitely sounds like the installer's fault - probably torn during install... unless your CV boot just happen to dryrot and rip open - which I could see happening on an older truck, but not yours which is an 06....

I dont know i called the place and they are looking into it. The person i talked to was the manager and he even said the kit shouldnt have done it. So i am just waiting to see what they do.

That's great customer service right there....not a lot of places would come clean and offer to do that.
