Small rub at full turn

i recently put on my summer rims (yes its early). the only problem im having is at full turn and less than full turn in reverse my tires are rubbing. to date i have a 2 inch leveling spacer put in. im looking to solve this problem generally inexpensively. would bilstein 5100's give me the extra lift i need? or do i need to goto a bigger spacer?

i run 305/55R20's on cruiser alloy stealths (921c)
the rims have a quite large offset im not sure on the spec exactly

Your spacer is big enough. You can not stack a spacer onto adjustable shocks. Your problem is that the wheels you have are out of spec. With a leveling kit, you are suppose to use OEM wheels, or wheels with matching specs. Your next option is to go up to a suspension lift, and/or add a body lift.

I think I might have the same issue. I have 285/70/17 on 17x9 wheels. I get a slight rub in reverse when I cut the wheel hard to the right...I have no rub when I am in full turn going forward or in reverse when I cut the wheel to the left. I was thinking about having a 3" leveling kit installed, 1) for looks, but 2) in hopes of eliminating this rub...will the leveling kit not eliminate this because my wheels are out of spec?

Me and a lot of other people on here would not reccommend the 3 inch kit. It will but your CV joints at severe angles causing premature wear and cost you some $$$ down the road. My reccomendation would be to step down to a smaller tire size. What size tires are you running now? The problem is not the wheels, it's the tires. You should be able to run a 33x12.50 with aftermarket wheels with a leveling kit.

I have 285/70/17's which are equal to 33's...my wheels are 17x9.

Where are they rubbing? You should be able to do some trimming if they are rubbing plastic.

I believe the rubbing is coming from the front bumper - possibly? Not completely sure. The only time it happens is when I am backing out of my driveway and I turn the wheel all the way to the left...if I turn it about half way, it's not problem. it never rubs when I am going forward, even in full turn.

I first thought it was rubbing against snow/ice that had bulit up under the wheel well...once the snow melted I realized it couldn't be snow.

See what's rubbing an trim it. If it is just some plastic, a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and sander works great.
