Leveling Kit

Just a quick question. I have already purchased the leveling kit. How much will a suspension shop charge me to put the kit on?

My guess is around $200. Have you thought about putting it in yourself it is very very easy to do and does not take to much time. It only took me about 2 hours to do. Just make sure that you get your front end re-aligned when your done.

So if I install it myself there will be no reason for me to rent a spring compressor? How much does it cost to have a car re-aligned. I have a shop that my company built the building for and he said he would do the whole job including realign for $150. Is this a good deal or should i still attempt it myself?

That`s a pretty good price . If you don`t want to get hand dirty. Go for it

For the spring compresser.- It depends what type of leveling kit you got

sounds like a pretty good deal. And if you need to rent the spring compressor all depends on which kit you bought. So if you let us know we will be able to tell ya if you need it or not.

Rent a spring compressor for heavy duty spring, not one made for Honda civics. These springs can cause a cheaper compressor to fail

You all missed out. I just bought my leveling kit from 4 wheel parts during "Free Install" weekend. $305 included kit, labor, misc. pieces (supposedly some grease or cleaner), alignment, and tax. Got 3" of front lift. Anybody know of some rear lifting blocks? Pics to come

I spent $69 on the AS kit. $20 on tools I needed. It took about an 1 1/2 hours to in stall with no experience what so ever. Had it aligned for $45. It was kinda fun.

With that kit you`ll need a spring compresser.

Go with a 2" AS instead. Should be $70 on ebay

I agree. Get the Autospring. No compressor needed and perfect fit. I paid $39 for my alignment.

If your going to disassemble the springs you should get the Bilstein leveling shocks.

What 05supercrew said,

I just did the Bilstein strut kit and love it! Makes more sense to get that if your already going through the trouble of taking apart the spring assembly! Although it does cost a bit more than a spacer does...

check out this site ----> http://store.topguncustomz.com/store...82&i=193574766

I'm assuming you have a 4x4... but if you don't there is a 4x2 kit also available at the bottem of the page!

good luck

Nem
