Might want to post in the street scene section. That's where most of the lowered guys hang out.

About your question though, I wouldn't know. I'm not familiar with trucks that are pre-04.

thats a BIG wheel/tire combo for a dropped truck. I ran stockers 255-70-16s and it was stuffed.

I am now running 255-65-16s and they look a tad small, but i like the performance gain from them.

Anyways to answer your question, you can easily do 4" in rear. 5" in rear is pushing it and you will probably be bouncing off of the bump stops on moderate-heavy bumps. 3/4 or 3/5 is ideal, but its rough being 5"

If you want to do 5" you can do have a couple options, small 2" weld in C notch, or helper bags (like arca_ex has) but both options will require more work, and more cost, which will offset your "cheap flip kit"

And finally, im not familiar with Friendswood Tx, but if you are anywhere close to me let me know when you get to installing it b.c i wouldnt mind helping you, and i have access to lifts at work. Or if you arent up for doing the install yourself i can hook you up on a sweet deal on the install + alignment.

I have a NBS with a 2/4 drop with 265/70-17's. Look OK to me, until I get some 22's. Thanks for letting me borrow the pics, Pat. :o
