Exclamation Sqeaky Leaves Gotta Go...!!!

i have a terrible sqeak in my rear suspension.... it is just simply annoying to drive down the street to say the least... ive tried to spray PB blaster in there... it works for a short while but then wears out... i think i need to replace the pads between the leaves... but have no clue where to get some.... does anyone know... or know of anything i can try to stop the sqeaking...???? thanks

Just go to your local spring shop and pick them up there. If you can't find any let me know and I can send you some.

Look in your yellow pages under leaf springs or automotive springs and you'll probably find a couple people.

Could be the spring bushings. Had a Taurus with squeaking frontend and sprayed the control arm bushings with lube and no more noise.

i talked to the guy at the spring shop... he enlightened me a bit... i knew i had a couple add a leaves in the rear end.... he showed me that the extra leaves were never punched for a pad to go in between them.... and that is the cause of my wonderful squeal.... but now in order for him to fix it... i have to figure out how to get the springs out of my truck and down to him.... so he can punch them out and put the pads in... and then put them back in... not something im looking forward to...

Why not just let the spring shop do the whole job?

I know it's not cheap but at least you know it'll be done right.
