Question 2.5" leveling and 35's /OEM rims??

1st Time posting here, I have followed along on all things (tires and leveling) for about a month. I have a 2004 Fx4 Super crew. I am adding a 2.5" AS to the truck and ordering BFG Mud Terain T/A KM2 35x12.5x17. My question to all you smart people is? Can i use my OEM rims( 17") untill i figure out my new rim selection? any info would be greatley appreciated. Second I know i need to get an alignment after leveling, but do i need to do it after i put on 35"s also?? Thanks in advance

Yes they will fit on the stock wheels, but you may have slight rubbing on the upper control arm when making a hard turn. Nothing major. I would wait untill I put the tires on to get it aligned. Welcome to the site!

gr8hntr and I have the same rims, the factory 18" FX4's. Like Paw Paw said, 35" MT's, whatever brand, look great on either 17's or 18's.

I tried 35" on my 06' last weekend with my OEM rims, I also have the AS 2.5" level kit. There was a little more rubbing on my upper control arms than I like. I went with 285/70R/17.

I'm looking at buying some Greg Weld Fugitive wheels, 17x9, with a back space of 5. Will I be able to put 35's on without rubbing?
