Man, you got to let me know how that goes. I'm very interested in that set-up. By the way, I just had my ARE LSII lid installed last Saturday. I'm very happy with it. I actually got more compliments on the lid today at work than I did on the first day I drove the Truck to work.

Post Belltech 3/4 Inch Drop on 2000 Sport Flareside

Selva1.....
Saw your mods posted on my fuel mileage thread. My first mod, Belltech 3/4 drop, nitro drop shocks, thicker front sway bar, adding a rear sway bar (all from Belltech) will be done late this week when kit arrives from Belltech. Will post photo of drop and try to get a "before" and "after" photo if I remember to get my digital camera out for the "before" photo. Still trying to decide on which hard tonneau to buy.

Went by the shop today that is lowering my truck. The Belltech kit arrived minus the front/rear sway bars. They will take an additional two weeks to arrive. Will wait for the sway bars and do it all at once. Sorry....photos will be delayed a couple weeks until my truck is lowered. The same drop was done on a 98 STX ext cab in an Oct 99 issue of Sport Truck. Looks real fine!

Cool

sport2k,
just out of curouisity how much is this drop going to run you.. i got a price today..450 on the bell-tech kit (nitro active shocks) which i know i can get a little cheaper price over the net,but hell everybody has to make a little money..400 on the labor (includes balance/alignment)..i feel mechanicly inclined to handle the shackles and springs ,but the hangers ????? ...i would rather spend 400 bucks on some guys that do this everyday,than me...sorry your going to have to wait on the sway bar..how vital is the sway bar ??..i thought that i had read somewhere that ford positioned the back part of the leaf spring a little higher than the front to catch some of that side to side motion,instead of just the up and down ???? any truth to that ??? man if i could just hit the lottery, then i would bring on the headers,supercharger,msd ignitish,pulleys etc,etc....we can dream can't we??? stay cool

HotRodSix....Looks good!! What kind of bed cover is that?

Spydog....
Basic kit minus shocks & sway bars = $350.00
Shocks $39.95 ea = $159.80
Sway Bars $175.00 ea = $350.00
Labor = $175.00
Alignment? I haven't asked but am getting it aligned same day.
I don't know if the sway bars are absolutely necessary but my truck leans too much in corners stock and wanted the rear sway bar added and opted for a heavier one in the front. Will let you know how it went after the install and post before/after photos.

The bedcover is a Ford dealer-installed tonneau cover.
