Finally got my new truck

Well figured I would post here since this is where most of my posting goes. Finally bought my 2013 FX2 5.0 last week 402A package. Got a great deal on it and decided to go white and black with this truck. It is killing me to not put at least the shackles I have on it, but needs an alignment so doing that before I do anything.

All stock

Painted the exhaust tip, just to get rid of the chrome

Painted the emblems, only have a pic of the tailgate, I tried to paint the lettering white but didn't come out good, so just black until I get some white inlays

Also painted the front ford emblem but no pics yet, the way the new emblems are, the chrome and blue are separate pieces so it makes it easy to change the color. Still need to do the tailgate ford emblem and mirror reflectors then it will be all white and black.

I was going to throw on some drop shackles the night I got it, but it needs an alignment. So figured I would have it done under warranty, so holding off on that. Then in a month or two I'm going to do a 3/5 drop. I decided to finish my 32 ford before bagging this one. So hopefully within a year I will start gathering parts to bag it.

Pic tonight after I finished painting all the emblems and mirror reflectors.

Thanks man, I have been jealous of the girlfriends mustang since she got in in January. That's probably what pushed me into wanting a new truck

Looks great! I had been wondering what your new truck looked for a while.

What are your plans for that '32? With how low you took your old truck, that thing is gonna be a half inch off the ground! Chopped and channeled haha

I am still really torn on whether or not to go 4/6 on this truck. If I do I need to notch it, or just go with 3/5. The plan is to bag it after I finish the 32.

The 32, yes is chopped and channeled. The rear is bagged with a 4 link and quick change, so it will get up to about 4" off the ground. The front is a drop beam, suicide mounted (out in front of the frame rails) with a leaf spring. Should be around 400HP with my ford turbo 2.3 with a T5. As for the paint, since everyone asks, it's already painted. Love the patina on it as is.

I'd just do the 3/5 if it's temporary until it gets bagged cause it seems so much less involved.

That '32 sounds good. I'm a huge fan of leaving the patina, maybe scuffin' it up and clearing it to protect it, but otherwise leaving it alone. You can't imitate that and it's only like that once. I love rat rods. That's interesting choice of motor, I like it though because it's different. I'm sure it'll scoot pretty good too!

After getting the truck cleaned up this weekend I couldn't take it any longer, I threw on some drop shackles I had laying around.

I went this route with my 07.
Waste of time and money IMO.

wait a year and bag it directly.
I'm bagging mine this winter....already have all the parts
