It's more of the power that you plan on running. The 10w0's are rated at 125 rms and can go above that, but I think according to their site 200 rms is pushing there limits. Anything over that and you should look into better models.

well im buying amplifer and subwoofer but i got the box from supercrew sound. single 10 inch 2002 f-150 extended cab. .63 cubic feet. depth was 5.75 i believe. The guy from my shop told me to get a sub that did not need alot of air and i did not have to be powerful for it to sound good. He said i would be dissappointed if i went out and bought a more powerful sub and tried to put it in the box.

.63 cu ft will give you a good amount of sub choices. Just make sure the sub you get has that in it's recommended range, and match the amps rms to the sub (150rms amp for a 150 rms sub) and you should be fine.
Mostly it depends on what sound you are looking for. Right now I have a crappy sub running at 100watts rms, and it's more then enough loud. I just need a good quality sub.

When I had a 10" JL behind my seat in my standard cab '97 F150 mated to about 120 watts RMS. Pounded into my back everyday, and with the windows up and engine running you couldn't hear it while standing in the front of the truck even when its blaring.
My '99 Expy had JL stealthbox w/ 300 watts pushing it. Same thing. Thumpin' on the inside, very quiet on the outside.

Last night I put in an older 10" Pioneer TS-W1040 sub into a box (.54 cu ft) I made over the weekend and ran it with 100 watts going to. It pounds okay, fills the cabin great, and is a night/day difference over the LA sub. Standing outside the truck, I'd say it's about the exact same as dzervit described.
Since the sub is rated at 150rms, and I know I can it can handle a good clean 300rms, I am planning on either switching to a single JL 10w0, or if my amps 3rd channel is 2ohm stable I may try 2 RE 8's.
What sound do you want, SPL or SQ? With the selection of 10's out there and .63 cu ft box, you can get either. Personally I'd find a nice lower power sub that sounds great and runs of 100-200 watts rms. It will be loud and still sound great.
JL have a good sound, the infinity subs are supposed to be nice (250rms I think). IDQ. RE is getting rave reviews and the new must have. CDT.
But I prefer quality over volume.

yea i would defiantely want it to have good sound quaility. I also like to turn it up at times. I know its probably not goin to sound like the type r 12 that i had in my escort before i let it go but i want something good enough that i have to turn the bass down, and know that if i want more i can get it.
