Pine Island here, which is near Fort Myers. I used to live in Tampa and Clearwater as a child.

Small bump, here. I visit relatives in Largo every summer and was wondering if there are any drive-on beaches relatively close to the area?

Closest I can think of is there is a little park in Clearwater across the street from the Sand Key Park. I'd say it can park about 30 cars or so there. Other than that you can drive on the sides of the Gandy bridge and park on the sides there. There's also a few spots down in Terre Verde by Ft. Desoto that have spots to park but I wouldn't call it beach.

At Sand Key

At Ft. Desoto

Sorry for the derailment
