Question Factory_Tech???????

Factory Tech,
Do you still have the 4R100? I did a search and found a post from January saying you had one. Or even a tweaked up 4R70?

Sorry, lot of overtime....
I don't have a Lightning 4R100 right now, I could build you one, but it'd be a few bucks (I'd have to buy parts to configure it for a Lightning)...What ya need it for?

I do have a new thing I do, I build new accumulators for any 4R100, add the shift kit and give you a drop dead shift strategy costs $100 I pay the shipping, exchange, (75 core charge) You just drop the pan, change the accumulator which is very easy and bolt the pan back up. For $50 more I supply a Genuine Ford Parts deep plugged pan and filter, the filter alone goes for $44.55 at the dealer. I've done a few of these (it's the only mod I've done to my own truck) and it works great.
Let me know....

And if you want a Lightning 4R100, i'll look around for one, or some parts to build one from scratch, give me a week to look for one.

Factory-Tech,

Are you saying just the accumulator will make the shifting better without the shift kit? Will it work just as good as a shift kit? Does it hold each gear out to a higher pressure?

Thanks for the info!
Justin

The kit I build is a shift kit after a fashion. It works real well, I'm very pleased with mine, I don't know exactly how other kits/chips work so I can't reccomend whether it works with any other setup.

I can only do the pan with the kit, fact of the matter is I lose money on the pan and filter, but it encourages other people to try my kit, which I do make a few bucks on. Sorry I can't just do the pan and filter.

I'll build you one from shelf parts, but I don't know exactly what it would cost, for you I won't charge any markup on what the parts cost me and we can work out a deal on what the tranny will cost. (UAW Discount we'll call it) I'll need to buy 3 sets of planetaries, an accumulator and a converter to make one from a reman that I normally get $900 for, so however much those parts would cost at a dealer with a FEMP discount. Like I said, I can come off the $900 a little bit, too. I may also need an extension housing if it's going into a real Lightning (L's have the large diameter driveshaft yoke) but if it began life as a regular F-150 and you're keeping the driveshaft the little one is allready on it so it'll be okay. Let me know...

Factory_Tech,

I am interested in the accumulator that you make. Are you saying you provide the accumulator and shift kit, or just the accumulator for $100? Please help, I am a little confused.

Thanks,
Justin

The accumulator I send you has a line mod valve and different calibration springs installed in it, you send me your old one back so I can make another one. The idea was to take all the guess work out of which body to drop, and installing the kit yourself, it's pretty idiot proof when you have the new one in your hand. (you know EXACTLY which valve body to drop that way, no loose check *****, tv springs etc...)

I, for one am more than a little curious. I'm gonna find a tranny if I have to give it to him, just to see what he's got cooking.
