Cleaning Lightning Leather seats???

Hey folks,

Just picked up a 2000 lightning, and am trying to find the best cleaner for the suede leather seats???

What is the best cleaner?
Better left to a professional?
Any tips to doing it?

THanks

The seats are cloth not leather, and you can use Blue Coral to clean them.

sorry but they are not suede or leather, they are synthetic and they can be cleaned easily.

Blue Coral on the cloth part(what some consider to be suede) and a good leather conditioner on the braided part.

Be sure to Scotchguard the cloth part. Don't get it on the braided leather.

Well, apparently it was good enough to fool at least one owner.

Actually I would prefer full smooth leather...the braided stuff feels fake...and I HATE cloth seats...even that fake suede stuff.

OK so any cloth cleaner will work on the 'suede' knock off? and just use leather conditioner on the ribbed/smooth leather?

(actually there were 2 people fooled here) i always thought it was suede =) (even feels like it)

I used to think it was suede until I started to look into buying one. Any Lightning brochure, ad etc. says it is cloth.

Man it woudl be awesome if you could just peel this sucker off as indicated and throw it in the washer, however i don't think the leather on that would actually like the dryer or washer for that matter/

Thanks alot for the post guys, guess i'll be a 'dabbin' not scrubbing tomarrow sometime =)

Unhappy

Wait til you have to buy the original "fake suede" seat cover from Ford. Just over $700 just for the drivers (top and bottom) side.

If your foam starts to fail on the drivers side seat bottom ....get the foam replaced before the protruding metal frame ruins your seat cover. Ford warrantied the foam not the cover.......for me anyway.
