Post Cleaning SVT leather seats

Should the need arise, How would I clean the suede leather? Who sells nice seat covers? I don't want to get these seats dirty! LS

Cleaning the seats, at least the light grey part, is easy. BTW, it only looks like suede. It cleans up nice with upholstery cleaner. Scotchguard when new is a real plus. As far as protecting the seats, I suggest sheepskins. I had some custom made by a company in Van Nuys, CA called the Sheepskin Experts www.sheepskinexperts.com and I'm real happy with them. Here's what they look like http://1whitelightning.homestead.com/seat_shots.html

Hey Whitelightning

They did a nice job on thos skins. If you don't mind me asking, what did those cost? Van Nuys is not far from where I live. I night pay them a visit.

Thanks
K

Question

Has any one seen the covers by, Seat Covers Unlimited.
It sounds like they are licensed by Ford to do all SVT's. They say it has embroided SVT on them and at only $99.99 sound's almost to good.
I'm not sure of thier location, but phone # is 305-883-1666. If some one here is in the 305 area code, maybe they could check them out?

Just got my Wet Okoloe's and they look great. Got black with charcoal grey middles with the lightning emblem in black on the grey. Look and fit great. Got the cleaning kit and the whole nine yards. As one post said, they are pricey but you get what you pay for. Just in case you need it the number is 888 246-5643 and ask for fred.

Question

I have asked this before (but no one had them on for long) what do the factory covers look like after 6 months to a year ,or more, after being covered by the neoprene? They are neoprene right? Also the same for the sheepskin, any dye transfer? Thanks.

Cool

Sheepskins were about $500. They feel great after a couple of hours behind the wheel

I've had the sheepskins on for almost a year, and took a peek a few weeks ago. The "suede" part looks the same, doesn't appear to be any dye transfer on the part I could see. I'm very happy with the covers. Only thing I'd change is the center console/armrest. Would not have the cutout for the cupholder.
