Airaid v. Downs

Airaid v. Downs
What, if anything are the differences between the Downs intake and the Airaid?
Recommendations?
It looks like these are my choices, as I don't want to wait on the PSP backlog.

The Airaid has a "wall" around it, and a big filter (I think).
Airaid (on my truck):
The Downs:
I think the Airaid is better for a daily driver, because it will not get as dirty or wet, so if you are a little lazy and don't want to wash the K&N as much this is better for you.

Well, as of yesterday/ today, the down's filter is temporarily on back order. I don't know yet how long temporarily is, but it sucks for me.

As far as I can see ( I read alot if not all posts) nobody has done a controled comapro of any of the filters or the chips. I did not order from Sal so I can't give a comment on his products or delivery. I can say that my dealings were done expediently and professionaly. I did have a problem with hood clearance on my first Airaid but it was addressed. ( I was one of the first)
