'92 F150; Rearended now Hardshift : Codes 126 & 998 HELP

So when I last/first posted my truck needed a new MAP sensor I replaced it and it ran GGRREEAAATTTT! Until last night.......
Immediately after being Rearended by a big 2010 F-25O. I was stopped, he hit about 10+mph. Destroyed my tailgate and bumper. After exchanging info and speaking with the police, we left the scene.

I started up my truck to leave and the CEL was now ON. Upon driving away I noticed it, shifting from 1 to 2 felt like a shift kit had just been installed!!! ('92 F150, 4.9 e4od). 3 to 4 was just as hard......
Drove it this morning and it's still hard shifting all gears and at times it feels like it wants to die.
Ran KOEO and got codes 126 and 998.
Same codes with KOER.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Will

(R) =Key On Engine Running test
(M) =Memory code

126 (O,R,M) MAP or BARO sensor out of range

998 (R) Did not pass Key On Engine Off test yet (Get 111 in KOEO first)

GLC, I'm a bit on the blunt side mentally, lol.
O,R,M; I'm not familiar with these letters and their meaning
But I'm guessing you do so it points you to the direction of the EPC?
I apologize for my lack of knowledge/experience with this rig and am greatly appreciative of your assistance.

Will

Looks like you still have a MAP sensor problem too.

Lol, told you I was blunt!!
I had code 111 as recently as a week ago when checking to make sure all was well.
Might the rear impact caused the EPC to affect the 2 month old MAP sensor?
What a pain; running great- smack- running like crap....
I've got to take it to the adjusters where theyll tell me if its worth fixing.
Damn, I like this old truck.

111 means the test cycle is finished. You WANT to see that.

Haven't run codes but figured "what the heck, my 2 month old Borg Warner Map Sensor has a warranty; think I'll just swap it out. "

I did and it's back to normal. At least for the moment. Had to go to the chiropractor and Christmas shop with the wife, both PIA's!!!
I'll be checking the codes in the morning and report back then.
GLC, thanks for the Jedi Patience and Guidance.
Can you think of any way the rear end impact pooped out the newish MAP sensor? Really seems odd it'd be that fragile.
Thanks again GLC!!

Well, that's not an OEM sensor. Aftermarket sensors aren't as good. Interesting that this would fix the shifting issue when you got that 998 code. If it's gone, great!

Did you disconnect the battery when you put in the sensor to clear the codes? Is the CEL off?

Yes Sir, to both. Praying for all 1's tomorrow. I disconnected the battery when I installed the MAP the first time, however this time it shifted far nicer than with the first replacement MAP. Perhaps it wasn't up to snuff right off the bat!?
Will post code(s) in the AM.
