Cool New Truck!!!

Hey guys,
Its been awhile but I am back and have finally gotten an f150!
Its a 91 single cab, shot box, 4.9L, 5speed, 4x4. Black, etc.
Its a little beat up, but it only has 87xxx original miles! There was a carfax to prove it and everything.

So I will put up pics on monday, my fiance has the camera and she is in seattle with family...wont be back till 11pm on sunday

So a few questions!
Does anyone know the number of the tranny behind the 4.9L? Is it the M50D?
Also, does anyone know how to take the tailgate off?
And finally, when I turn the headlights on they are stuck in high beam, it is either on high, or the lights are off...how do I switch from high to low beams?

Thanks!

M5, that's the only one offered in that year f150.
Tailgate is as he explained, not hard at all.
High beam switch could be stick or just shot. It's on the floor and susceptible to all sorts of dirt and stuff so it would be no surprise.
Good luck with everything, I'll be waiting for pics.

in the back u could but the front you would have to cut. and my 95 had a 11 in clutch but my 88 had a 10 inch clutch but my 95 was a m5od and my 88 was a t18 like my 90 n my 90 has a 10 inch too so im not sure if its the year thats the diffrence or the trans

get a leaveling kit if u want 33s they are cheap go to www.roughcountry.com
u may have to trim ur bumper a little maybe but u dont have to mess with the sheet metal

Good luck with a leveling kit.
I could fit 33's no problem, but my truck seems oddly high compared to every other truck I've seen of these years.
And the clutches are either 10 or 11, you can use either one, you just have to use a flywheel of the corresponding size.

Sweet, I will have to see if they fit. I know they will fit in the rear no problem. I just want a little bit of meat with no lift if possible.

Being 4x4 if yours sits like mine, you will no problem. Maybe some small cutting on the bumper and of course rubbing on the radius arms, but that doesn't matter.

Thanks,
Do you know what a good year would be?
How hard was it to do from start to finish?
Did you have any trouble with the shifter hitting the seat/console?
