ignition modules. i put a new one in and the truck runs great for about 10 minutes. it acts like its getting to much juice cause the module gets hot and the truck quits.

Sounds like you're getting the wrong module. Those old DuraSpark modules are almost bulletproof (literally), so something external is wrong. And I doubt it's the PIP. What color is the grommet where the wires go into the module?

the grommet is blue, how do i know which color i need? i threw the original one out. i have burned up 3 modules now trying different things, could it be the voltage regulator? the truck runs great for 15 minutes then dies.

First it's black, then it's blue??? I think my original was blue. With the engine running, what's the battery voltage? What's the voltage on each of the module wires? Do you have a Haynes manual?

it is blue, i checked the voltage at the coil and the positive is 13.8 and the negative terminal is 9.8, any clue what could be drawing it down?
