my 96 F150XL has a 95 amp alternator, Is there a higher amp alternator on the XLT or Lariet models?

"You want more amps? YOU CAN'T HANDLE MORE AMPS..."

lol

What you wanna do is the 3G swap. Basicly bolt on, it is the install of the alt from a tauris which should get you about 130amps.

Here is a pictorial writeup.

looks like a plan, would like to have a little more info on the wiring harness tho, should be able to rig up something in the salvage tommorrow, I got 60 miles from home today and the damn truck wouldn't start, but luckily I got a boost from a really hot chick and made it to Canadian Tire \ and got a 1080 Cranking amp battery, but when I come to a stop light the amp gauge still drops, the alt is only a year old, I only run two cheap 55watt aftermarket lights on the push bar so it shouldn't draw that much more juice.

What amp gauge?

Only added two lights? Your 95amp alt should be fine then.
