Proud of my six-popper!

i was going around the cornfield today, and i was almost stuck in the mud. i had to turn, while going up hill in the MUD! what a truck!!! it is a '66 f-250 with a 240 I6. (AND 2 WHEEL DRIVE!) it would not give up. slowly but surely, that old motor pulled through the mud. it has a cherry bomb muffler, and that motor just sounded perfect. for those of you who think the 300 I6 is the best motor, you must not have ever driven one with a 240. it is one durable motor with a heck of a lot of torque

For an old six banger, I'm happy!

i've never driven a 260 in a truck. i have the 300 and i love it, so i can imagine that the 260 is just as great. I really wish ford would continue the making of these engines!

the 240 is identical to the 300, but the 240 has a shorter stroke for less torque

hmmmmm... good question. seems like a 'stang would always have a v-8, why would a sports car have a tractor motor? sixes dont rev that high, but they have a lot of low end torque, but not a biggie for hp.
