Blinking theft light
After I fixed the fuse box the truck won't start.

I have tried both keys, let the truck sit for over 30 minutes, and I just now unhooked the battery. I will leave it unhooked, with the lights on.
The lights blinks 16.

Hi there,
I have also started to experience the "blinking light problem" a couple of nights ago, while driiving home, my 97 Expedition just turned off on me.... and would not start.. the engine would rev but would not turn over... I then had to get it towed to the dealership. They told me that the problem seem to be my after market alarm which was installed by Circuit City, I then took the truck to Circuit City to have them investigate the Viper Alarm system. Circuit City could not find anything wrong with the alarm its self. They suggested I take the truck back to the dealer and tell them to check the Anty Theft Transponder. I have been reading the forums, but I do not see anything about fixing the problem.... where you able to fix the problem, did the dealership end up reprograming your key??? What was the fix?

Try unlocking, lock, and unlocking again the passenger door. This will untrigger the antitheft from the factory.Happened to me last year on my f-350.Took me 2 day of changing fuelfilters and all sorts of things. My friend comes over who has much knowlege and says "did you trigger the antitheft?"give him the keys ,he sticks them in the passenger door unlocks, locks unlocks, hands me the keys and it started right up.Boy did i feel stupid.

I just picked up my truck from Circuit City, and dropped it of at the Ford dealership. I tried turning the key 180 degrees like stated above, and also tried locking and unlocking the door, but no luck.... According to Circuit City, the problem may lay on the onboard transpoder module. This is the device which reads the microchip inside the key. Per Circuit City, they might need to replace this module, replace the key, or just reprogram it. I guess I will find out tomorrow morning.. I will let you guys know the outcome..
Thanks for the help anyway!
