Just got a leather shifter cover on Ebay. Looks like there are a few more for sale if you want one.

How did you find it? I can't find anything with a king ranch search.

Well, talk about your procrastination! I bought one of these probably four or five years ago when one was first made by one of the members here. I finally got around to putting it on today. I wasn't happy with any of the options I tried as far as the thread pattern goes. At one time there was a thread here where people posted pics of their different approaches to threading (how many times can I say "thread" in this thread, do you suppose?) but I couldn't find it (or perhaps I did find it but all of the pic links are broken all these years later). In any event, I'm still not crazy about it and will likely remove it if I don't change my mind in the next couple of days. Oh, I guess I could take another shot at it but if history is any indication, I won't get up the energy for that until roughly 2015 or so...

Mine looks just like the pattern of the steering wheel. It looks as though it came from the factory. I just watched the video on you tube that showed how to thread the cover.

Tried that but I guess I'm just not very good. Perhaps part of the problem is that over the years the leather (laying in a closet loosely for some time) probably deformed a good bit here in my very dry alpine climate (~10% RH). The last stitching pattern I tried was basically horizontal and that did pull the leather together evenly. However, the width of those horizontal stitches varies with what I presume to be said deformities in the leather. For now it remains...
