Bucket seat conversion

Hey everyone i have a 2001 Screw XLT with the 60/40 front bench seats and i want to convert the bench to a bucket seat without the middle so i can install a 15" subwoofer between the two seats. Does anyone know the best/cheapest way to get this done?

Ford doesn't sell complete seats, the only way you'll get one is used.

Would an upholsterer be able to just cut my bench and make it into a bucket seat?

01 you might have the 40% track system under your 60% seat, in which case you just chop the frame and foam and reupholster it

I wasn't as lucky so I bought a trashed Expy seat from a junk yard and swapped parts onto my seats. (See beginning of my console shifted thread) (link in sig)

Sadly i have the 60% track system so i either need a 40 track or painstakingly cut and reposition the track.

buy an expy seat frame and you will have all the parts you need. The back rest frame, and the seat pans are interchangeable, you really just need the track
