Anyone else fed up with Country Radio?

^^ Amen, Pap!
There's so little modern, TRUE music fer these yungins to listen to these days. It makes me wonder what's next.
I miss a lot of the music of the 70s. IMHO, Steely Dan is one of the best group of musicians assembled in the 20th century. Many others were fantastic as well. Just a great time for music.
There are a few groups of true musicians around these days, but this highly 'synthesized' (which may as well mean FAKE, by the way), overly repetitive, super simplistic, electronic beat driven, half-rap stuff that's popular today is just goofy, IMHO. And sad.
Thank God for old CDs, YouTube recordings, Spotify, iTunes, and other outlets where real music can still be heard.
Edit: It KILLS me when folks miscall a 'singing group' a band. No instruments = NO BAND!

Want some real country? You gotta listen to:
Keith Urban
Rascal Flatts
Luke Brian
and that nasal singer himself: Kenny Chesney
Now those are some real country singers right there!
Honestly, I gave up on country years ago. It's been pop for years. When the New York record companies bought out or merged with all the Nashville companies, it was a matter of time.

And it's funny when ESPN airs shows that portray him as some kind of ex-stud football player. If you only knew....
Hell, my own first cousin (Ashley Monroe of the Pistol Annies) is in the business, and I don't even classify what she does as REAL country. I am, however, a fan of hers for sure.
I can listen to Keith Urban, but I don't consider him a country singer at all. Besides, he's no more 'country' than I am a billy goat or a watermelon!
Here ye go, yungins! Below is a list of musicians who were REAL country musicians. In no particular order:
Hank Williams (SENIOR!)
Patsy Cline
George Jones
Merle Haggard (perhaps the 'countriest' name ever!)
Waylon Jennings
George Strait
Jimmy Rogers
Loretta Lynn
Ernest Tubb
The Carter Family
Too many more to list, but that'll give you a good start. If you haven't heard their music, look it up.

Cody Johnson you fellas might like... he's got a real nice sound.
I like a good deal of the newer artists, but I respect and do listen to some of the older artists. I wouldn't consider the newer artists traditional by any means. I laughed at the video PawPaw posted however, Alan Jackson, while one of my favorites, has "sold out" so to speak on some of his songs. I have read that on some of his youtube videos and fans weren't happy about it. Jackson came around with Garth Brooks, which many of the traditionalists don't like. Everyone just has different tastes.
