Anyone else fed up with Country Radio?

Here in Boston, MA area we have 2 stations and I gave up on them. Same 11 songs all day and random older songs. I've had better luck finding awesome artists over the past few years that sound different and not popified. Can't stand Taylor Swift anymore.

Been listening to the Chris Lane Band, Brian Davis, and Cody Johnson since I stumbled across them on Amazon last week. Chase Rice is awesome and around here no one knows him. I told my friends about him over a year ago and no one cares lol. Out where my sister is in Ohio for school she says they all go to his concerts and listen to the guys like him that play the bars and small venues.

Anyone else have some good artists that aren't played on the stations?

I have 3 Classic Rock stations and 3 Country stations programmed on my radio. I pretty much quit listening to the country stations. Not because they play the same songs over and over, because the new "country" sucks for the most part. There's still some good artists out there though.

Ricky Van Shelton, Merle Haggard, Lonestar and older Tracy Lawrence.

This is probably my favorite song from Rick Van Shelton.

Today's country is more pop-country. Got to go with the classics.

I listen to a classic country station or a station that plays Texas artists (some artists like Chris Knight and Bleu Edmonson have been adopted by the Texas music scene).

This is one of the Texas music stations:

Make up your own stations on Pandora.

Punch in the name of your fave, and all music played will be in that genre.

I got sick of 'live disc jockeys' long ago.

Especially when there is more than one on the show.

Somebody sez something funny to one and for the next 15 minutes, you hear laughter about something that wasn't that funny.

What I hate is that quite often I can switch between country stations and the same song will be on. That's what happens when you only have 10 songs on your playlist...

STL's 105.7 dj's I like listening to when I am in the mood for hard rock. Love the morning show. If I listen to country I can choose between my Sirius or Pandora. I don't care much for the STL country stations anymore.

I use pandora as well... I also watch the local Country Network they play. Found many no name artists on there that I have ended up buying albums. Saw this one last week and down loaded his album and can't stop listening to it. Really love this song

Drives an f-150 too

Any just a funny thing... I am one of the bus drivers at my university and I play country cds I make during my shifts. On a weekly basis I have people ask who some of these artists are because they really like it. There's more out there than the radio

I used to not have that problem until my ipod broke a couple months back And it seems like everyday when I leave school, all 3 country stations are either on commercial breaks the whole 10 minute ride home or the first song that comes on is so annoying that I would rather ride with the radio off.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one tired of hearing the same 10 songs! Maybe I should ask for a new headunit for Christmas so I can play stuff from Pandora or Spotify and my songs!
