Just recently got my 2013 F 150 FX4 a few weeks back and im considering buying a programmer. i've got the 5.0 V8. I'm new to the programming world but it seems like you buy the programmer but different companies install their own tunes to it, is that right? looking to increase MPGs but a little more power never hurts. i've looked at sct, hypertech, diablo, and superchips. they seem the same in my eyes. i've also seen where you can a dongle and use bluetooth and app on your phone for some, any reviews on those? any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I got the same questions.... and yes the questions still exist after reading that sticky (which is very generic, not specific to the truck we both have...)

any comments on tuners ? for 5.0l current model trucks only, please....

 

Id go SCT Tuner with 5star custom tunes.. Mike has a great reputation for tuning on these trucks. Doesnt matter what engine you have

Furthermore check out stage3motorsports.com, they are a great company to work with and have the sct tuners and you get your custom 5 star tunes within a couple days. Once you buy the tuner and the custom tunes they have a program where they will give you free tunes if needed after buying other go fast mods.
