Medium Oxidation help

I have medium oxidation on my hood and heavy oxidation on my roof. I waxed it with a carnuba every other weekend. To clean it up i have clayed it, used compound polish, deep compound polish,Nufinsh Scratch Doctor, and Turtle wax medium to heavy oxidation cleaner. Still have the oxidation, i have already spent over 100$ in cleaners, and worked many hard hours of work. Even during the week after school, i got no idea what to do, i cant stay on top of it. Should i just get my whole truck re-sprayed?

I assume all of this has been done by hand. I would look into a machine if you are serious about keeping your truck looking nice. Porter Cable make a great dual action. Its model # 7424.

10" high speed buffer usally, occasially by hand. I had a body shop work on it and it still had bad oxidation. It looks like grays in the paint.

I'll second the request for pics, but add a caution. It sounds like you've taken a pretty good swing at this one already - and some of those products are pretty aggressive. Add to that the fact that you've used a rotary buffer on it and all sorts of warning lights go on for me. See if you can post up some decent close up pics. Beware though that you've probably taken a good deal of your clear coat off already, so be careful.

That maybe be for single stage paint, but shouldn't be the case with clear coated stuff. By 10 inch buffer, do you mean the ones from Advanced/Autozone for applying waxes?

Yes i think it was from autozone. I talked to my Dad and im preety sure its getting re-sprayed unless its too much. Last year he barrowed my truck and hit the fence on the side so he feels like he needs to repaint it.

Since your in school and money is probably tight see if anyone here with a D.A. is willing to help. I say try a D.A. and Megs 105/205 and see if that does anything. If it does work I would put the money toward a P.C. It will pay for it self in no time.

Today i got it quoted for 300$ to spray hood, roof and tail gate by a respectable guy. He said the clear coat that was on it was recall hence why it faded.
