I am in desperate need to replace my passenger side 3rd door on my truck. I let the small rust spot go to long. Know its starting to go to the outside. I will not let my truck look like crap with rust showing. (no disrespect to those that have rust on theres) I have gone to every f150 site asking for help and i've checked ebay. There are no junkyards around here by me with new trucks. So my search's have turned up NOTHING. I do not need the interior, glass or rubber seals, just the metal door itself.

Someone help me out here... What's Ford's RUST warranty? Doesn't it only cover 'rust-thru'? Sounds like this might be warranty?

holy crap this whole "server is busy, cannot process request thing is pissing me off. must relaod in 30 seconds".

Anyway rockpick, i saw a bulletin board that listed all the warranties and paint/rust was i believe 8 years/unlimited mileage. It protected the owner if it started to rust through. Well i showed them and they said *MY* warranty just expired. I was like how convienent. I'll try another dealership but they'll tell me the same thing, "he's the name of guy he'll give you a good deal".

thats why i just want to replace it with hopefully a new year without any rust. Hopefully from a warm weather climate.

 

I assume from your username that your truck is a 97. I searched for the rear door and this is what I came up with. To choose what part oyu need, look at the list to the left. They give you the price also. Not the cheapest thing around, but at least you know what your getting.

Wow that site is a bit expensive. fordpartsonline.com is cheaper. But those prices are for individual pieces, not a complete door. I want a complete door. Rust is not just on the outer skin but on the inside piece too.

 

i think your best best is to take it off a salvage, i don't think you'll have much other choice really.

well someone emailed me back. They have one that white and supposedly in good condition for $400. Does this sound to much?
