Cheap rims/tires: What are some nice swapped wheels on an F-150??
Okay, this is not just a want-to-buy thread. This is a WHAT NICE (and CHEAP) WHEELS FIT ON A 2000 F-150 2WD??? thread.
I cannot afford aftermarket wheels, and I have always enjoyed using parts from other vehicles to sharpen my cars/trucks. Example. A set of 17" 2010 Sierra wheels looked AWESOME on my 93 Mazda B2200, and lifted the truck 3 inches instantly. The best part is, the wheels and tires cost me $500 on craigslist.
So here's my goal: to get a nice set of wheels with tires for fairly cheap. I would love some pics from folks who swapped wheels to their 97-03 F-150 from other vehicles to see what looks good. Any fitment issues to look out for would help, too.
Also, the bolt pattern on the 2wd is 5-135 right?? I have read a few different things about this pattern and am wondering if a couple are interchangeable.
Also feel free to make me an offer if you have stock 17s or 18s (that would fit my truck) with tires cluttering up your garage. I AM in the market
Please post any advise, suggestions, wheel/tire donations (lol) or past issues you may have that can help me figure out what wheels I can swap my 16" alloys out with. Thanks

I found some on TireRack that are ok, but not like I want. And I would LOVE a set of takeoffs that someone doesn't need. This guy had put 20's on his 2010 Sierra and I scooped up his factory 17s (with tires with less than 10,000 miles on them) AND a full size spare for $500. I had to grind the hubs on my Mazda to get them on, but they were phenomenal....I will try to post a pic.
Anyway, this is the kind of stuff I like - oversized, with a factory look. I will try to get some King Ranch wheels, but something tells me those are few and far between. Maybe Tire Rack is my best option

Wow that took me a minute to find that you have to use the bbcode on the pic-site. You have a sweet-looking setup, there, DHG. Don't need quite the mudbogger extreme you went to, however...just looking for a few more inches of diameter and a clean wheel. My 16" alloys are God-awful hideous imo. I am sure you are all familiar with the wheels...

he just likes postin pictures. haha, jk DHG, we all do.
honestly slorider, i would just troll craigslist until you find what you want. for a factory look on 5x135 and 18 inches or bigger it wont be easy.
these are nice. i had some 22's once. for $900 it aint bad but i now its probably more than you're looking for.

LOL I have been trollin for 3 days since the trade for the truck began. I know these wheels are gonna bug me cuz they KILL the look of the truck.
17s or 18s would be perfect...I work at a shop so tires are cheap for me. The trick is to talk this guy down...if these would fit that is...
