I wanna get a spray in bedliner but im not sure which one to choose. I'd like to know whick one you all are using. What are the differences?

 

Read through this forum and you'll see TONS of info on this.

But to condense it into one statement, the general consensus seems to be:

If you can afford it, get a Line-ex liner.

Me... I didn't have the money (around $400 I believe) so I did a Herculiner. It took some time and energy, but came out nice. I posted on the process and included pictures... its in this forum.

I have had both Rhino and Line-X. Perfer the looks of Line-X over Rhino. But it also depends on the shop doing it. I have seen many flavors of texture by Rhino, not really consistant. It just depends.

I also like the Line-X with Xtra top coate. Truckgasim can tell you more but its really cool stuff. Plus you can get logos sprayed in your bed at some dealers.

Of the three brands you mentioned, LINE-X with Xtra or Rhino Solarmax is going to be your best bet for your truck. Rhino Solarmax (which is not really a Rhino product, it's made by a company called Bayer) is hard to find, not many Rhino dealers offer it because the dealers can't use the same machine that they use for their other products to apply it. About 70% of LINE-X dealers now offer the Xtra product.

I have an 04 that came with a Rhino Liner already installed. My only complaint is that it's faded fairly significantly. It was a pure black when I first purchased my truck, and now it's quite grayed. Unfortunately I haven't owned a house with a garage deep enough to fit my truck in, so you might have better results if your truck is garaged. And that's not to say that Line-X or anyone else won't fade after 4 years of sun exposure. Just my two cents, I love it otherwise as far as durability and whatnot for my needs.

 

Well, LINE-X with the optional Xtra product, will still look brand new after four years of exposure under the sun.

And, white LINE-X will still be white, not yellow.


And, black LINE-X will still be black, not gray.

Oh man, too bad the guy I bought my truck from had the Linex sprayed black. The truck is white and that pic above looks awesome. I guess its always under a tonneau cover anyway or has a 4 wheeler on top of it, so it really doesnt matter. But looks great in colors.

 

This is a little old, but RollingRock's bedliner looks very nice in person. Somebody put Herculiner in mine before I bought it and it looks like dog crap. It's peeling away in places, it scratches really easily, and it holds dirt worse than paint. I cant get the sucker clean without a good degreaser.

 

Applied correctly, you can't go wrong with Line-X. Cost is around $400 for Black, Xtra and colors are quite a bit more though.

I went to the Line-X dealer and inquired about their product. He gave me a
3" square sample to take to competitors and rub them together.
I went to the other "big name brand" and asked if I could compare a sample with theirs. They said if I bought their liner, I could do whatever I wanted to it. I almost walked out, but instead I got ****y and asked if they were afraid to test it, if so, I didn't want their product anyway.
Needless to say, when I rubbed the two together, it was like night and day.
The Line-X was not marred at all. The other looked like it was scraped with sandpaper.
Go with Line-X, you won't be dissapointed.

 

I got the lineX, but after seeing that Red, I wish I would have gotten red. I do love mine though, never have to worry about things being in the back of the truck, stuff doesn't slide and it cleans up very nice.
