285/65/20 finally mounted on OEM 20" rims!
Just got the 285/65/20 BF Goodrich T/A KO's mounted on the stock 20" lincoln mark LT rims. I have the autospring front leveling spacer 2.5" kit as well.
This is the biggest tire you can fit on the stock 20" wheels. The backspacing is different than the stock 18"s. The tire is about 35"s tall with 40lbs of air, and about 11.5" wide, which leaves just over 1/4" space between the tire and the suspension at full turn.

Costco has them for $330/tire fully installed and balanced. Any one want my 275/55/20 Pirelli's with 300 miles on them? local pickup only in cincinnati area.
also, with the wider tires, the plastic inner fender needs to be either velcroed to the fender, or pop rivited, the plastic bends outward toward the tire in the rear section of the wheel well.. hard to explain, but easy to fix.
the BFG AT's have no noticable road noise at all either... pics to be added to my album soon.

That's weird, I have the same setup with wider rims and mine don't come anywhere close to touching anything at full turn with different angles.
your 20" rims obviously have a different backspace than the stock 20" rims do then. check my gallery for the clearance picture. my rims are 20x8.5 and ford put all that backspacing on the inside of the wheel.

I didn't have the factory 20's but have been told they had a 6" backspace, that's what my 20x9's have. Maybe the MarkLT's sit a little lower in the front, either way they look great on your truck. What's nice is they fill the wheel wells but there is no loss of power.

here's a better picture of what i have left with on the front wheel, this is with the wheel straight... about 3/4 inch. i didn't say anything rubs.. it just comes close..

Your picture shows part of the reason I didn't try to fit 325/60 R20's on there, there is barely any clearance at the top balljoint. There was a picture of a truck on here with the exact same set-up you and I have (I have 2" AS) that had the 325's on his, I don't know how he pulled it off. I just put 275/65 R20's (34.1") on mine yesterday. $985 installed from discount tire. I am very satisfied. Your's looks awesome with those tires on it.

i think if you add a small spacer, you will clear the ball joints wityh 12.5" tires, but then you might have clearance issues with the tip of the front fender. Who knows, all I know, is I don't have to think about tires anymore!

Cool.
I'm sure you already know this but... your speedometer is going to read 7.75% low (65 when your actually going 70.5) until you get it corrected with a programmer or by the dealer, if you can find one who's not a moron. I grew up in Northwest Ohio, I know those Highway Patrol with their new laser guns up there don't mess around.
Unrelated topic, but since you have it and I've been wondering..... Is the factory navigation any good? Is it still in dash 6 disc? and is it touch screen?

I did forget about the speedo thing.. will be careful, i know the Ohio troopers are all looking for extra revenue these days! as for the OEM navigation, i love it, you can't watch a dvd in it, but it does still have the 6 disc CD changer in it. the Nav is touch screen and really easy to program, and the sirius is built into mine, so i have tons of touch screen presets to choose from.
