Removing the FX4 Badge

What do folks here think about an FX4, without the FX4 badge? I'm not crazy about the sticker. I like all of the other Ford and F-150 badging just fine, but I'm pretty sure a hair dryer will be applied that the day it comes home.

I'm not a fan of the new style FX4 stickers on the 15's either. I liked the 04-08 ones, hated the squared off ones on the 09-11's and like the 12-14's (they are similar to the 04-08's)

I like it. I pulled mine off my 2014 super duty and wished I hadn't. I owned it for about 8 months before I pulled the decal off and I didn't use anything but my hands and it came right off. After there was only a small bit of adhesive remaining near the edges that I had to clean off.

I don't like the new ones either. On my '12 I just pulled it off by hand. I replaced it with matte black because I felt like it needed something.

Thx - my only concern with it was that they are individual letters rather than one sticker like the original. But so far so good after 6 months. I stay out of the car washes with brushes though

Those 2009-2011 ones were really ugly. Three guys on my street pulled them off. I didn't really mind the newer ones. I have an XLT Sport and the decal looks OK.

I did the exact same as this, just waiting for the new ones to arrive.

I make a terrible face when trying to level decals. You guys have a trick to getting that so perfect?

I usually start with a piece of masking tape right above where I'm going to place the decal. Get it level the way you want and then you can use it as a guide for your decal.

Although usually obvious, often the transfer tape isn't cut level with the decal, so ensure you are making sure the decal is level and not the edge of the transfer tape.

I used the masking tape trick as well. I measured down from the bed to the position of the old decal/line of the tail light and matched up the tape for the new one.

Here is mine after, just threw them on tonight.

I think mine aren't perfectly straight, but it is how they are going to stay.

If anyone tells you they aren't straight, let them know it's an OCD tester.

They look a little low, the black truck has the top edge of the factory sticker lined up with the top edge of the tail light.
