2013 STX 4x4 5.0 decor - the search ends!

Hi guys,

Just picked up a brand new 2013 STX 4x4 in flame blue (pics pending)
Here are my impressions so far:

Likes:
Power- 5.0 is amazing. Coming from a 2004 4.6 2v f-150 sts and a 97 5.4 expedition with 200k, it was a huge improvement. The thing sounds like sex too.
Features - I realize i only got an STX, but it is still rather nicely equipped. My 04 STX had manual mirrors for gods sake. This has power everything and the sync is very fun. The decor package is a great value
Quality of build - Truck handles amazing, braking feels great, all in all rather solid.

Dislikes-
Rear seat- again my own fault for going supercab, and maybe my immagination, but my rear seat of my '04 stx felt a bit bigger. I couldn't budget the crewcab, and even if i could I am not a fan of 5.5 beds OR long trucks.
Open diff - yep this one sucks. I asked about it and almost walked away when i found out it was open diff. My 04 limited slip was great for snow. A locking diff would have been great too, but open diff makes me worried. We will see next winter in Wisconsin.

Paid 27,900 before TTL and after trade in of expy with 200k. They were gonna only give me 500, but had to fight tooth and nail to get $1500 for it. The truck was falling apart so no big loss. How did I do compared to other STX owners?

Thanks for reading!

I think you will find it works quite well with the traction control. LS is just about gone in the F-150 now, the e-locker is replacing it.

Silverfish - yeah found that thread, great info. Looks like we have the exact same setup in different color. How do you like that magna flow?

I'd be interested to know why you chose the STX over the XLT. When I bought my 2011 I looked around and the XLT was cheaper with more standard options. There were also a lot more to choose from. Plus they had the 1,500 XLT rebate at the time. I finally bit the bullet and got into a crew cab, we love it, next time I may go for the 6.5ft bed but we manage quite well with the 6.5ft.

L8 - I found XLTs close to the STX decor package, but not less. I looked all over. The XLT has nothing that mine doesn't have (ecept maybe the screen.) I have room for 2 rear car seats. THe one facing backwards is in the middle, so I still have space left over. Honestly, I think the STXs look much better than the XLT's. I think most would agree with me here.
Silver fish - good setup. I think I will keep it stock for a while though.

I still have tuner from VMP. Might pays the guys over there to get tunes for this new vehicle. So, will that void some of my 7 year/100k warranty I paid extra for? what about the louder exhaust?

I got $10,500 off in rebates and 2.9% finance for 48 months on my 2012 STX. I did not want all that chrome on the XLT and was $10,000 more.

Silverfish - wow, yo did way better than me. I got mine for just under $28k before TTL. Even still, I am pleased. Agree with yo 100% on the chrome part. Added benefit to SCAB vs. SCREW other than price: You get quite a bit more payload capacity. I am by no means the weight police, but the payload o some of the SCREWs are horrendous.

I walked out of the dealer paying 27500 for my 12' XLT ext cab 4x4.

I have the 5.0, and almost everything you can get on the truck.

But I also got zplan, plus the huge rebates they had.
