My hornblasters train horn install today. PICS

well here you go. i searched the forum and found a couple places that everyone put them but didnt really want them noticeable. i wanted to put them up front at first, but due to room i decided to just put everything in the rear... what i have is a hornblasters kit with the 400c compressor and 2 gal tank. have 4 horns and all that stuff....

i mounted everything on a sheet of plywood where the spare tire is supposed to go. i had to take out the spare tire holding deal to get room. everything fit pretty well. the compressor is mounted upright on top of the plywood where it can stay dry and out of the way of everything. i should have taken more pics during the install but heres the end results. and its loud as ****. you can hear it really well being that there is nothing blocking it really.

I want train horns so bad I cant stand it. But I just never seem to get them for some reason. When I do get them I think Im gonna mount them the same way you did. Looks great. What kinda button did you use?

P.S. I didnt know you could get a flareside with the supercrew...

yea i ordered them from the hornblasters ebay account. they had a small black push button that i put on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. the 3 plastic buttons that some truck shave there for some reason and actually work! mind didnt have anything there but fake buttons so i put the button in one.

Hey man that looks like a good setup where you put it. One question I have is how well will the plywood hold up to getting wet, don't know where you are from but here we get enough rain that I don't think it would hold up too long.

Looks like a Sullivan intake? Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like you swapped in a solid axle?

How much power/tq does it make and how much boost?

Sick cobra!

the car is actually a 04 gt with a full cobra clone. only thing it dont have is the airbag. if it were a real cobra i would have still put a solid in it. the car is up for sale for 23k. i have over 50 in it. car has 11k miles on it and made 500 on pump gas. which is about 800 if it had a 6spd still. it has a powerglide in it with a 4000 stall. we had to clean the fuel system out from sitting up and cloggin the filters. should be going to get a race tune this week with some 116 in it and we'll see what happens. should make over 750/800 with the glide. that would be about 1000 with a 6spd. but heres a full list of parts in her.....

it ran a 11.50 @ 125 already with the hard nitto 315s and pump tune launching it off the foot brake. i have a set of prostars with skinnies and 26x10s in the back. the transbrake is also hooked up. when i ran that the fuel was acting up due to the aeromotive filter being stoped up. car should get down in the 10s on the pump tune and driving it to the track and do some 9s trailering it with the slicks and race gas. i need to sell it tho i'm buying a house. gotta get rid of the toys. 23 is a steal for the car if you know anyone.
