i have a 97 f150 4x4 with the off road package. ive heard of people putting the 285 70 17 on a newer 150 with no problem but i was wondering if anyone out there has put these tires on a truck like mine of if any one know that they will fit. thanks for any help.

 

Yes they will fit. I ran 285/75/16 (same size as yours just for a 16" wheel) on my 97 for a year with no rubbing at all. Even at full flex it wouldn't touch anything.
