front brakes

front brakes on my 99 f150 4x4 are beginning to "squeal" when i come to a stop. I assume these are the sensors warning me that my pads are low?? I just had new pads put on about a year and a half ago. The previous pads lasted me 4 times as long.

My question is: Is there a specific pad I want/don't want when having these replaced?? I'm hard on brakes.

Thanks,
Randy

usually the sqeal of the sensors is present when you are NOT applying the brakes. if the brakes are squealing when you push on the pedal it usually means nothing.

take off your right front tire and inspect your pads. you might also be able to see the sensor throught the rim and see how close it is to the rotor.
