nace19,
I looked up the wrong vechicle. I rechecked and they will NOT fit! The lug bolts are definately different sizes. Sorry for the confusion.
You need to find wheels from a 1997-99 (prior to Nov. 1999 production) to fit your truck.

YES, Mid 2000 assembly year, the lugs were changed from 12mm to 14mm. The center hub stayed the same. You can put a 2002 on a 1997, but not a 1997 on a 2002. The weight and centering is done by the hub, not the bolts. Don't know when the Ligntnings switched, but they will fit your 97.

Not recommended as you will have some "play" from the larger lug holes.

nace19,
e-mail me if you want and I'll give you a link to another forum where someone who tried it firsthand and is having problems with "play"

THEY WILL FIT!!!
Here they are are my 2000 with the 12mm studs. These are the wheels off of my brother's Lightning with 14mm studs. These wheels are hubcentric which means the wheel centers on the hub, not the lugs.

They are working on my 99 and I have the 02's on it. Just got the acorn style lug nuts and everything fits great.

They fit, I put 18x9.5 lowered on beltech 4in the back 3 in the front. Their is a bolt in the front that is connected to the lower control arm that I removed, so now I hardly scrape when i turn all the way! The back tires are 265/65/18 and the front are 285/50/18 on my 2003 Ford F-150 supe

Of course 2002 wheels will fit on a 2003, they are both 14mm. This thread was asking about 2002 wheels on a 1997, and the thread is EIGHTEEN YEARS old.

the steering stops are different though, so pay attention to the lessons learned in 1999 and install the Lightning steering stops with Lightning wheels

I have a 2000 F150 that I am wanting to some of the Lightning replicas that LMR has. Trying to make the best decision and I am still a little lost on the back spacing issues. Any advice as I see you have the similar style that I am interested in?
