I agree with JohnnyQ. Pads are cheap, rotors are not. Every time I've had rotors turned, they worped with in 10k. Now I check the pads regularly so the rotors don't get scored, and only replace the pads. Haven't had a worped rotor in 8 years, multiple vehicals. Rather grind away cheap pads than replace rotors or turn them so the warp and need replaceing anyway. JMHO

Bent6, I also bought the raybestos quiet stop ceramic pads, they didn't seem to be performing as well as the cheap pads I had on before (although they did stop the horrible brake dust problems, which is the main reason for the swap out). After about 6 months my rotors were warped. I went back to the auto store to talk about the options for pad changeout, well turns out that raybestos no longer warranties the pads for anything other than "manufacturer defect". I didn't believe the guy so I checked some other auto parts stores in the area, and they gave me the same line.
