305/70R16 to replace 265/70R17

I know I asked before, but I just want to make sure before I lay out $1000.00 that 305/70R16 will fit on my 01 F150 4x4 ORP without any lift. I don't mind crankin' the t' bars if needed or triming front air dam ( lower bumper... whatever its called) or inner fender coners for that matter. I now just can't pass up 4wheelparts.com 3 for 4 and free shipping before christmas .
I thinking of going for the package deal of Eagle 589 16x8 with ProComp 305/70r16 Xtrerrain's. Thanks for any input....

Craig

They will definately fit without a lift. May I suggest however, get 16x10 inch wheels. This way if you ever want bigger tires you don't have to buy wheels again.

I trimmed a little at the front, nothing else, and they fit fine.

Just a quick note. You can't combine the buy 3 get one free and free freight with the Pro Comps. Just called though and it is 50 bucks freight anywhere in the lower 48 states.
