Lowering kit/tire size

I have a 1997 standard cab F150 and I am just getting started on the fix up. I have been out of this stuff for a couple of years while I was finishing my degree. I have have had several F150's including a couple of Lightnings....they are GREAT!!! This is the first F150 of the new body style for me so the questions begin!

I am thinking of the Western Chassis 3/4 lowering kit. I have just bought a set of tires from a friend that is the size that I think I need. Will a 255/60/17 for the front and a 275/60/17 for the back work o.k. with this type of a drop? What kind of fender gap will I have? This will be a daily driver so sutle changes that work are the name of the game. How will the truck ride with this kit?

I have 275/60HR17 tires on all four corners of my truck as well as a 3-5 drop. The fenderwell gap is minimal and the tires look good and chunky. The ride is awesome and the grip is pretty darn good. Hope I helped.

Did the Eibach kit come with the shackles and hangers? Where did you get your kit and how much?

Motorhead,
My Eibach kit came with thier great progressive springs for the front and shackles and hangars for the rear. I have Speedtek performance in Hurst, TX order and install my parts. They were about $450 total. I have had no problems with my kit and love the way it rides and handles. It is rugged, as well. I have had it installed for over 3 years. Hope I helped
