Which fims fit?????

I'm looking at getting a set of 17" off road rims for my 97 F-150. I couldn't remember if only 97-98 trucks could share rims, or whether 97-2001 could all share rims. I was thinking only 97-98, could somebody set me straight??? Thanks alot!

Here's my question....Why???? There are alot more tire choices out there for 16" rims than there are for 17" rims. However more and more companies are begining to produce more 17" tires. I would reccommend looking at some aftermarket 16" rims as compared to the ORP 17" rims.

Thumbs up

I guess it's just my personal preference. I like the looks of the ORP rims and have planned on getting them since I purchased my truck. As for tires, the set of goodyears i'm planning on getting are 15 bucks cheaper per tire for the 17's. I don't really buy tires all that often, as they usually last for about two years on my trucks, so tire choices aren't much of a factor.

I know the bolt pattern is the same between those years. 5 on 135mm. I think the lugs are the same (not 100% sure though). I know of a few people around here with 97 or 98 F150s with 99 or 2001 rims.

From what I have found, only 97-98 rims are interchangeable. 99 and on have 14mm studs while 97-98's have 12mm.

'97. '98, and '99 (I think) have 12mm studs, '00, '01, and '02's have 14mm studs. You can use the new rims with 14mm lug holes on the 97-99 without a problem. You can't use the 07-99 rims on 00's and up because the lug holes will be too small. There are quite a few folks with older trucks riding on the new rims without any problems. Good luck!
