E-Brake Issue

A few months back in the dead of winter I stepped on my parking brake (2011 F-150) and it fell straight to the floor. Now that it is warm out again I started crawling around under the truck today. The cable has a TON of slack in it, but is connected all the way through. If I put the park brake on it still has a fair amount of slack in it. I have never messed with parking brakes before so I am unsure of what it going on. I cant find any videos or other forum posts on this issue. Anyone see this before and have an idea of what it could be?

I had to redo mine a couple years ago. It was all the hardware that needed to be replaced inside of the e-brake drums.
