How to remove pitting

I just picked some chrome 18s up off FB but they have what i think is pitting and want to know any easy and unharmful ways to remove it.

I don't know if they were the same wheel material but Chris Fix has a video about refurbishing wheels.

ya im not sure what material they are i just know they are chrome. I picked up the set for 50$ and they need tires and i have to get adaptors but i think its way better then spending 1500-2k on a set

Pitting in chrome is basically rust spots...... the best and oldest way to clean up chrome is to use a good polish and #0000 or finer steel wool pads....they won't scratch the chrome but it will deeply clean it. Now for the remaining spots.... with a micro type applicator, apply a drop of rust converter to each pit or you can also use navel jelly and just apply to the general area... this will clean/neutralize the rust and then either seal up the pinholes with wax or a touch of silver paint.
