Question Tpms q?

My 07 F150 has the TPMS sensors on a band around the center of the rims. Can these be replaced with the valve stem type TPMS sensors?

I can't find a definitive answer, but it looks like you can as long as they are the same frequency and you have a retraining tool.

BlueOval - another choice, if you can't make what glc suggested work, is to buy a stand-alone TPMS that has the valve stem sensors/transmitters and a dash-mounted receiver. Since I tow a trailer from time to time, I have one of these systems and mount valve stem sensors on both the truck wheels and the trailer wheels when I am towing. This system shows me both the pressure in each tire and the temperature in each tire.

A trailer tire blowout is usually fairly damaging and I want as much warning of impending failure as I can get. This does not interfere with the indirect TPMS that is OEM with the truck either.

Hmmm - look at this:

I searched for a 2007 F150 and it came up with stem sensors and a tool.
