Tick tick tick clunk BANG SCREACH!

6 months after changing U joints (2WD) the click was back and of course I expected that a u joint was bad or I had messed it up. Every time I checked them ,everything seemed tight so Run'er, I say!.
Yeh, until I needed a tow home. Thought the RR axle bearing had seized up. Not a cheap date.
But this is what I found, understand it is pretty common.
Not sure why bonded shoes rarely fail but bonded parking brake shoes do so frequently.
OEMs sourcing crappy parts? 1999 w/ 113K on it.
I had to install Chinesium crap as I needed the truck.

A few months ago I was driving on the interstate, and a semi blew out it's driveline. The prop shaft ended up a considerable distance from where it happened. Luckily no one else was around him and I was far enough behind it. Things could've gotten interesting fast.
