What size rim can I use for 285/70r17 tire
Wondering what rim size is needed to fit these tires on my sons 2005 F150 FX4. 4x4. He wants to get new rims for the truck anyway. I also want the rim to work for future tires as well

I have that size mounted on my 2002 on the stock rims that are 7 1/2" wide. That is the minimum width recommended for those tires. If you go to tirerack.com you can look up the recommended rim widths for the tire.
