Where can I buy a stock spare?

Bought my used '97 4x4 without a spare. I hate driving without one. Where can I get a stock size spare (265/17)? Local boneyards are no help, and the dealer...well...ouch.

Thanx in advance!

You could also try looking for a 265/75 on a 16" rim. That would have the same diameter as any 265/70R17. The main concern is actual tire diameter, not wheel diameter. Just another option.

I second that. I have 33/12.5/17 tires on my truck and bought a 16x8 wheel with a 285/75/16 Cooper tire as a spare backup. Basically due to cost reasons. You won't have any problems with a 16" rim.

I recently had a tire go down on my screw. I replaced it with the matching spare and went to Pep Boys and picked up one of those 10,000 mi cheap tires to use as a spare. I think I paid around $70.

I have a 17" steel spare rim for sale in the classifieds. You would have to buy your own tire for it. (sold)

Stoner,

I got a spare that hasn't been touched (literally!) since the day the truck was purchased. Let me know if interested.

Have a nice day.
