20x9 vs 20x10, 33x12.5 tires

Looking at the XD Monster XD778 wheels, and trying to figure out the combo I want. Thinking I want to NOT level the truck, so, 33x12.5(around a 305/55r20) is what I want to do. Tire I am leaning toward now is the Toyo Open Country R/T.

I see that this will work on either a 20x9 or a 20x10 wheel, XD778 is offered in both sizes. I have seen trucks with the 20x9 with 18mm offset, that looks about right as far as sticking out to me. With the 20x10 (website says this one has -12 offset), I haven't seen how that looks in any picture I've found. Would that stick out more than the 20x9 with +18mm offset? I know the wheel width factors into this and it's not just comparing the offsets when you change the wheel width.

Question, what would look better?

I just did a calculator and it says:

20x9 compared to stock 20x8.5 = +1.24" sticking out
20x10 compared to stock 20x8.5 = +3" sticking out

Looks like the 20x9 would be best for me. I don't think 3" out would look good.
