35s on a leveled truck

For all of you people who say you cant put 35x12.5 on a leveled truck, here you go. just finished this setup this morning. its a 06 f150 with a 2.5 skyjacker leveling kit and it has 35x12.5x17 pro comp rims. the rims are 17x9 with 4.75"
backspace or -6mm offset. i did have to trim but its nothing anyone should be afraid of.
I also put on a SISO borla xr1 on it this morning.
I do like the sound of it as well but it was actually quieter than I was expecting, but still loud enough and has a nice refined tone to it.
I hope all of you enjoy it and i hope this helps someone like me that wasn't sure but now will know it will work.
thanks for looking

Coupled with the invisible mod, that's pretty cool...

35's with just a leveling kit have been running around for year's. Even a few have managed to squeeze on 37's. The correct spec wheel's play a big part in how much you have to trim. This pic is my '04 Lariat with 315x70x17 BFG's on 17x9 wheels with 5 inches BS or 0 degree offset wheels...I changed later to 17x8 wheels with stock 5.5 inches of backspacing and they fit much better. Picture was taken in 2005.Lower front wheelwell is usually the problem area when making sharp turn's.

Yeah, I wasn't even going weigh in on that part. I'm running 34.5" tires on stock wheels and only a 2" level. Not sure who was telling you that it couldn't be done. Every application is different, so I could see some hesitation and a "your experience may vary" speeches; but not anyone outright telling you that it won't work.

2 wheel drive...a different story.

The 09 to current truck's have more room in the front wheelwells so it's a little easier to clear the 35's vs the 04 to 08's. Also a lot of people don't want to hack up a new truck to make tires fit either!

Very slick looking '04, PawPaw. I'm planning on adding the 2.5 leveling kit whenever my tires wear out and throw some new ones on.

Good looking truck! Personally I would like it better without the window covers or whatever you call those things. Would complete the all black look a little better in my opinion but to each his own. Whatever you like best is what makes the truck awesome!
