2wd or 4? That makes all the difference.

Wheel spacer are supposed to be "safe" as long as you keep up with them really well and keep them torqued to spec from what I've heard. If you're a diligent person who's gonna stay on top of them, go for it. Otherwise, if you're like me, don't.

A lot of these tires you're wanting could/would have issues even on a 4wd, like I said before. Trail Grapplers have massive sidelugs that can rub. If that's what you want, I'd go for those 295/70/17 tires and just deal with whatever rubbing results. Rubbing only affects extreme turning, so if it doesn't annoy you that much, go for it.

I don't mind the 7 straight posts, GLC, but I even edited my own post that's before yours to illustrate its use, though not for that reason alone

I'm not being critical to give you a hard time, I'm doing it to point something out that you should know about. No need to apologize.

It's forum courtesy to EDIT your post if you want to add something before anyone replies. It makes for a lot easier thread reading.

Does that make sense?

You shouldn't take what you read on an Internet forum so personally.

10-4. I just really want to add the rear block spacer (some wheel spacers if I have to) and put those 315 khumos on my truck. I have to order the tires online which I can return if they don't fit but I don't wana pay return freight and I don't wana order the smaller size and regret it if I could have fit the big ones

Wheel spacers will just move the rubbing from one place to another most likely. 35x12.50's on a leveled 2wd just isn't really meant to happen.

Another thing. The minimum wheel width for that size tire is 8.5". Yours are 7.5". If it was only a difference of .5", it would not be that big a deal, however to get decent tread wear, you would have to run the tires at a far too low pressure, which is dangerous in itself.

No need to worry to worry about anything, Daniel. I was asking Beastly_95 what truck 2wd or 4 he put those tires on cause there ain't a chance in hell they went on a 2wd. I know you're 2wd haha.

Yeah, those 315/70/17 is just way too big for a 2wd, they likely wouldn't even fit on a leveled 4wd on stock wheels without rubbing a little bit. What tires do you have on the truck right now? I mean brand, name, and type. You'd be surprised how much bigger a mud tire is and looks compared to a street-like tire of the same size.

Kingfish's point is really important too. 295 is about at wide as you should go on a 7.5" wheel or they can wear badly like he said. You certainly don't want your $1400 tires going prematurely! People put full-sized 35" tires on stock wheels, but it isn't ideal.

295/70/17 Trails will fill your wheel wells quite nicely and look kickass

Also, don't ever be apprehensive about posting. Worst that can happen is some guy sitting at his computer halfway across the country can snap at you, so no biggie. Not that GLC meant to do that, he's a nice guy haha. We want you (at least I do!) to feel welcome and comfortable here. Lots of questions can be answered with the search function and Google, but otherwise, post away!

Sounds good, man. I'm looking forward to seeing your truck with some fresh meats on it.
