So, should I have them mounted?

I went to the 4 wheel Jamboree fair in Bloomsburg PA yesterday in hope of finding the precise tire in the exact size I have been in search for the best deal for, for almost a year. I wanted the Nitto Trail Grappler, in 295/60-R20. Already knowing the Trail Grap costing more than the Toyo M/T, I couldn't find the Trail Grap for less than $1,550. That was from Jack Williams Tire & Auto. Since The Toyo doesn't come in that awesome tire size, I leered away from the 35" size, however want to retain that wide tread but taller than a 33". To end my ramble, I ended up with a good offer, 35x12.5-R20 Toyo M/Ts for $1,480 out the door. I paid about that for my 33s in 2009. I am still questioning the fitment however..

Truck is an 07 4wd, Rancho Quiklift leveled ( acclaimed 2.5", I measured barely 2" of lift ). Wheels are XD Monsters +18 offset 5.71" backspace. Running 33x12.5/R20 Toyo M/Ts. Ran these without a leveling kit or any need for trimming for a year even. How about these 35s? Will the 35x12.5 work on my Rancho Quiklift leveled 4wd with my wheel stats? I have a gut feeling there will be some wheel well liner trimming to do, and I am not so sure I am willing to do much of that.

Should I just try and sell them for the 295/60 Trails ( 34.5x12 ) or will these work without looking too stuffed? I will run the 35s if there isn't any major hacking needed. Never go off roading either, just love the tire and how long it lasts on the pavement, and the music it makes.

Some pictures, why not?

Next to my car lol!

Truck as it sits now.

Back when it was un-leveled, with bed weight. If it looks like this with the 35s I will be happy.

I think it'll look just slightly more stuffed than your unleavened pic with the quad in the back, but I say do it! My buddy has an FX4 with 315/70/17 (34.4 X 12.4) on a 2" level and i think it looks good. I do think that those 295/60's will look slightly better, but you'd lose hundreds of dollars trying to sell the tires you've already got and you know you'll get ~50k miles out of them like your current set. I think your truck will still look great with the 35's you've got

Wanted more input you get what you get I guess. I know a 35 will fit but the fitment I was more ideally referring to was the width. I took a measure to them, they are 13.0"s wide. Wow, wish the standard sizes were accurate! No matter what these tires will rub. With my wheels at +18 offset, they will rub the UCAs. With a lower offset, they will rub some fender. So for now I put them on Craigslist for the price I paid, worse comes to worse the tire shop should be willing to take a trade and I can pay the offset price for other tires.

I also learned recently through my searches that the Toyo M/T is now finally available in 295/60-20. Downside is, its smaller than the Trail Grappler in the exact same metric size. The listed specs for the 295/60 Toyo are 34.2"x11.8", where as the Trail Grappler is 34.5"x12.13". I am going for the Trail Grappler now ( again ).

I don't understand how the non-discounted 35x12.5/20 Toyo M/T is still cheaper than both Nitto & Toyo 295/60 M/Ts. Maybe they knew they would sell good to the folks like myself .

The excise tax may be different between the truck sizes and the light truck/car sizes?

I thought you were mostly concerned with how stuffed they would look, didn't get that you were concerned with width fitment. 295's should fit no problem though. I think the 35s are cheaper because it's the extremely generic 35" tire size. I've seen the 295/60/20 trail grapps on a new body style RAM (I know, completely unrelated) at work and they're plenty big and look good.

I know the 295s will fit, and look good and big. I should have just ordered those to begin with.

I plan to, but one of my right side tires is about there already from a bad ball joint.

Sounds like a good plan! Too bad I can't shell out that kind of cash though .
